- Navigate to Journeys > Create journey
- Name your journey: “Abandoned Checkout Recovery”
- Set trigger to: Event-based > Cart Abandoned
- Configure the time window (e.g., 30 minutes after abandonment)
Step 2: Add journey steps
Step 1: First reminder (1 hour after abandonment)- Add a Message step
- Select your message template
- Personalize with customer and cart data
- Include a link back to their cart
- Add a Delay of 24 hours
- Add another Message step
- Consider offering a discount or incentive
- Urgency messaging to encourage completion
- Add another Delay of 24 hours
- Add a final Message step
- Last chance messaging
- Exit condition: If purchase completed, exit journey
Step 3: Configure exit conditions
Set exit conditions to stop the journey if:- Customer completes purchase
- Customer unsubscribes
- Maximum journey time reached
